Ok, to be honest, they have been in for some time now. I have just been too busy to get around to sharing them with you. But here they are!

I completely redesigned the card in Adobe Illustrator after my initial design just wasn’t suitable for print due to various blending effects and over saturated colours but I am very satisfied with the results!
I was originally considering embossing on the card but that comes with a hefty price tag so I decided to go with Spot UV which is simply a clear laminate applied to specified areas. The black-on-black lamination provides wonderful results against the matt finished card and I’m very happy with the custom size (40mm by 90mm).
A big thanks to Peter at Krankn for his helpful advice and tips for Spot UV design. I was suitably impressed with the pricing and flexibility Krankn offer and I’m glad I found them as I was about to pay much more for a lot less.

I am definitely bookmarking this page and sharing it with my friends.

Hi, love the business card. What im wondering is. The card appears to be black and not black ink on white card. Would this be correct? if so, is the white text spot uv also? otherwise how else do you get white onto black? Just trying to do something similar myself and a bit confused!

Hi Amy
The card is actually black ink on a white card as you originally thought. Spot UV is simply a clear laminate so colour can’t be added to a black card with Spot UV. Just remember, if you are going to get a black card printed, stick to the following CMYK blend; C=30 M=30 Y=30 K=100. This will ensure the maximum black without over saturation when printed.
Cheers
